“Fed to mass transit: Drop dead”

With a title like that, Salon’s article on mass transit woes pretty much jumped off the computer screen and started shaking me.

David Epstein’s article on the funding problems of mass transit systems in the U.S. includes a mention of MARTA. It’s definitely worth reading, though I would say it is absolutely no consolation that public transportation systems in St. Louis and Sacramento among other places are also struggling. It just tells me America is sick all over.

I find the whole thing ironic when more and more Americans are visiting Europe and loving it! And guess what they say? They love being able to get around cities and between cities on trains!

Ha ha ha. HA!!!
